We got a snowblower for about 800$ from Canadian Tire.
It's the Briggs and Stratton 1024 MD.
Here's a helpful assembly video, I watched this before starting the build and it helped. I should have watched more carefully and paid attention to the different parts. Watching helped but I still needed to refer back to it when building.
The guy in the video did it in 7 minutes while I took probably 45 minutes.
The most painful part was the chute and how it connected to the snowblower, it didn't clamp to anything and instead seems to be some sort of wedge system. You get two pieces and some bolts but both pieces go underneath the chute.
The instruction manually is actually not that good and kind of annoying. The video is definitely better.
I was also rushing a bit but overall it was all pretty much pre-built. We just had to attach the chute, the rods and the handle bar.
The rod was the hard part because the video and the instructions seem to show the ends point in two different directions while ours had it point the same direction. This required some force to get it to slot in properly.
I'll need to come back and update this once we actually try it. Someone else who bought this actually returned it because it didn't start.
